Why can't the system count the number of shifts for a specific time?
AcuStaf: Why waste your time counting. AcuStaf has created special filters in the schedule that allows you to view shifts by category, hour label, and work assignment. Not only can you filter a schedule, but you can display many different schedule counts:

- Category Usage
- Shift Requirements
- Point(s) in Time
- Shift Start
- Shift Start/End Times
Competitors: Most other systems are not even real-time, making it very hard to see overtime as it occurs or what holes are in the schedule. It can be frustrating to scroll through hundreds of employees to find the one scheduled to oversee accounting books for a specific day.
AcuStaf: To alleviate some of the pain involved with scheduling a facility, we have created Shift Requirements. This method ensures that all positions/categories/skills are accounted for on a shift. If you need 4 clerks on the day shift, the system will display the count 0/4 meaning you have scheduled zero clerks, but you need 4. Why complicate the labor management process when you can automate?
What is a Shift Code?
Competitors: Most of our competitors still use shift codes instead of displaying the shift start and end times. For example, instead of displaying 0700-1530, they simply display "D." Not only is this confusing and requires special training to all employees who read the schedule, it is unnecessary.
